One of the three banned Norwegian salmon producers is now allowed to import into Russia again.
The salmon exporter Egil Kristoffersen & sonner will be allowed to import into Russia again as of Dec. 20, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority said.
The import ban was lifted after the NFSA fully inspected the company’s facilities.
In October Russia’s veterinary authority Rosselkhoznadzor banned Egil Kristoffersen and two other Norwegian exporters from the market over claims of listeria found in their products.
The two others, Sotra Fiskeindustri og Kirkenes Processing, remain locked out of the market.
