Russia-based Marine Certification last week achieved official status of Accreditation Services International (ASI), making it eligible to perform certification both on fisheries and chains of custody -- a first in Russia.
The company is now eligible to certify companies and groups on fishery and the chain of custody assessment under the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), as well as chain of custody assessment under the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), and to issue relevant certificates. The scope of the accreditation obtained is worldwide.
