In a sarcastic on what has developed into a tradition in Royal Greenland, the Greenland weekly newspaper Sermitsiaq wrote that the owners, as per usual, ensured there wasn’t any continuity in longevity of service for members of the company board.
This year three board members were up for re-election: Deputy Chairman Ole Kielmann Hansen and board directors Aviaja Helms and Martin Ben Shalmi. They were rejected by the board. Instead the Greenland government wanted the former managing director of the Danish chewing gum group Dandy, Lars Funder, the director of Greenland Radio, Lars Lennert Sandgren and municipal director Paneeraq Olsen.
