Fresh trout prices in Norway are seeing large ups and downs, with prices varying up to NOK 5 (€0.63/$0.82) week-on-week.
Figures provided by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) show in week 23 the average export price for fresh trout came to NOK 37.26 (€4.70/$6.10).
Only one week later, prices had jumped to NOK 42.36 (€5.30/$6.90) per kilogram, while in week 25 it dropped again to NOK 39.45 (€4.90/$6.50) per kilogram.
The exports of fresh Norwegian trout amounted to 799 metric tons in week 25 this year.
