"We are not impacted by the situation at this time. We are still getting seafood from the Gulf. Our fishermen are still harvesting and have moved their boats to zones which remain open," Roger Bing, vice president of purchasing for Florida-based Darden, told IntraFish. "The seafood we get from the Gulf coast region is from unaffected areas."
Because the company's supply chain has it buying seafood from more than 30 countries, Bing said Darden won't be "running short on any product at this time."
