Executives with Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants discussed the renovation plans during a conference call Wednesday about the company's fourth-quarter and annual earnings report, released Tuesday.

Darden says it will introduce a new ad campaign this fall for Red Lobster, which the company hopes to transform into a more upscale brand.

The new advertising "more fully communicates the improved Red Lobster guest experience," said CEO and President Drew Madsen. The ads will feature new dishes cooked on wood-fire grills installed in 2008, Madsen said, along with "increased emphasis on value and affordability throughout the year."

Red
