Wahaca's new winter menu added MSC-certified herring caught off the U.K. coast at Hastings, as well as sustainable pollock.

Previously, the summer menu boasted MSC-certified coldwater shrimp from Canada in its ceviche salad and shrimp tostadas. It sells seabream and seasonal Devon crab as part of its offerings.

The restaurant's seafood buyer told IntraFish it would one day like to feature a seafood platter filled with certified sustainable seafood when it is available.

It follows a trend of restaurants using the MSC logo on their menus to inform customers about the origin of their fish.
