Prices paid by Norwegian companies for the new "green licenses" are too high in relation to value assessments of the companies on Oslo Stock Exchange, Gerhard Alsaker of Norwegian farming firm Alsaker told IntraFish.
"It’s cheaper to buy capacity through shares on the stock exchange,” Alsaker said.
The company submitted a bid through Tysnes Fjordbruk of NOK 10 million (€1.2 million/$1.7 million). Together with Seloy Sjofarm the offer was the lowest of all the 70 applications for licenses in Group B.
“I’m not surprised we had the lowest bid, and not disappointed we didn't get a [green] license.
