Prices for Norwegian whole fresh trout rose by more than NOK 2 (€0.25/$0.34) per kilogram last week, according to new figures by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).

Exports of head-on fresh trout came to 810 metric tons in week 43, with buyers having to pay an average price of NOK 42.63 (€5.20/$7.20) per kilogram. This is up from NOK 40.37 (€5/$6.80) per kilogram in the previous week, when Norway exported 758 metric tons.

The picture developed very differently for head-on frozen trout: Norwegian producers exported 135 metric tons in week 43, compared to 156 metric tons in the previous week.
