Indian vannamei farmers have moved in to fill the gap that early mortality syndrome (EMS) has caused in global shrimp markets.

Increased demand, combined with India's rapid switch to vannamei farming from its traditional black tiger production, means it is well positioned to benefit from the impact of EMS, which has hit Thailand particularly hard.
