Danish coldwater shrimp firm Polar Seafood reported its best financial year in history on the back of strong raw material pricing for both shrimp and halibut, reported Business.
The company’s net profit for the year amounted to DKK 167 million (€22.4 million/$25.4 million), up from DKK 112 million (€15.1 million/$17 million) in the previous year.
High prices and cost efficiency were the main reason for the jump.
Operating profit reached almost DKK 350 million (€47 million/$53.2 million), up from about DKK 200 million (€26.9
