A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Sneed was a 30-year veteran of the restaurant industry.

He started his career at Phillips more than 20 years ago as director of training for Phillips Seafood Restaurants. After acting as general manager for Phillips Seafood in Washington D.C., he became director of operations for all Phillips restaurants.

In 1996, he joined the helm of Phillips Foods, Inc. as its president, where he led the explosive growth of the company the last 10 years.

He was a member and past president of the Washington-Baltimore Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, and an active member of the community.
