General Manager Alberto Romero told IntraFish Wednesday the company's first mussel exports could roll out next year, and mainly will go to Europe.
This is a new business for the company, which is currently one of the five most important Chilean fishing companies engaged in catching, processing and exporting surimi and other products made with hake, hoki, jack mackerel and orange roughy. The company also produces fish oil and fishmeal.
Romero said the new mussel business will be based on Chiloe Island.
