Fourth-quarter results will greatly depend on the evolution of the remaining anchovy and sardine catches and the jack mackerel performance, which following its traditional seasonality will reappear in the center and south of Chile in December, the company told the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance (SVS).
Markets estimate human consumption will remain strong, mainly the frozen pelagic fish line with a weakening trend in the canned fish market, the company said.
“Prices and demand have recovered in fishmeal and fish oil markets, but sales volumes will be lower in the last quarter,” the company said.
