The current president of Spanish brewery Damm Group, Demetrio Carceller Arce and his father-- currently the largest shareholder in Pescanova -- will have to pay a combined bail of €765 million ($1 billion) to the court over charges of tax evasion and money laundering, according to reports in the Spanish Media.
The Spanish website www.atlantico.net said the current Damm president and his father have been accused of 13 counts of tax fraud and one of money laundering.
Judge Pablo Ruz, at the National Court, has given the pair 10 days to pay the bail.
