Although Peru’s traditional fish export volume this year will be similar to 2008, the global financial crisis has reduced fishmeal and fish oil sales, so total exports will grow 5 percent, said Humberto Speziani, president of the fisheries and aquaculture committee of the Association of Exporters (ADEX).
Speziani made his comments last week at the Expoalimentaria 2009 food show in Lima, Peru.
