Manuela Garcia Cochagne, the labor and employment planning minister, explained that Revalora has been operating for 15 months and has already trained 37,000 Peruvian workers with the aim of giving them new tools and training them so they work for foreign investment companies but also so they can become entrepreneurs and form their own businesses or help other small-sized businessmen to export.
The program is taking shape in the fisheries sector, particularly to address idle periods the closed seasons create, and also to provide knowledge to many workers in the fisheries industry, one of the main labor sectors in Peru.
