Permira-owned Japanese sushi chain Akindo Sushiro is popping outrestaurants one after another in South Korea.

With three stores opening in South Korea within a span of ninemonths -- and a fourth one at the end of this year -- the plan isto “open 80 stores by 2020.”

Plans are to continue to grow both domestically andinternationally, in particular throughout Asian countries such asChina, a Permira executive told IntraFish.

Consumers are shifting from traditional sushi restaurants to alower cost and higher value proposition, he said.
