Ben Lloyd says the oyster market is on the verge of an explosion of new business.
During a tour of the facility last week, Lloyd, the president and owner of Pangea Shellfish Company, told IntraFish consumption levels are on the rise and he's had to find new sources of product.
In recent years, sales in North America have grown for the company from Texas up through Canada, and Lloyd said each week more than 150,000 oysters are being shipped and flown through Pangea.
