Pacific Seafood's Woodland, Washington, plant is the company's fourth one to receive the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification, the company said in a statement.

The facility in southern Washington state met the BRC standards for shellfish food safety, as well as inspection, grading, trimming, freezing and repacking of finfish.

"A sound food safety and quality program is built upon teamwork and commitment. The team at Pacific Seafood Woodland is committed to be the industry leader in promoting safe, healthy and high quality seafood to consumers," said John Lin, the company's general manager of quality assurance and research and development.
