It hasn't been a stellar beginning to the Pacific halibut season, but suppliers are still finding ways to get fish to consumers.

Gale force winds, up to 50 and 60 mph in some places, a 13 percent reduction in the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) and few boats actually fishing has led to short supply and increasing prices of fresh halibut as the season kicked off last week.
