The acquisition is UK Fisheries’ second in recent weeks. On Dec. 17, the joint venture acquired Pesquera Ancora, the Spanish cod fishing group previously owned by Aker Seafoods.
Euronor was formed some years ago in a merger between Nord Pecheries and Armament le Garrec. IntraFish understands that the Euronor management team will remain in place with Xavier Leduc remaining the company’s executive director, assisted by Bruno Leduc and Antoine le Garrec.
Managing director Leduc confirmed the acquisition to IntraFish but was not able to comment more at the time of publication, while P&P and Samherji were unavailable for comment.
