“After consultation with the unions and all employees of the bankrupt company, more than half of the jobs will be retained for the relaunching of the brand Ouwehand,” said Peter Wijnen, spokesman for Parlevliet & Van der Plas.

There is no further information on how the re-launched company will function, he said.

Parlevliet & Van der Plas announced last month it bought Ouwehand for an undisclosed sum.

Ouwehand was granted suspension of all payments by The Hague court after it missed payments because of “difficult economic conditions on both the domestic and foreign markets.”
