Despite a dismal third quarter for Norwegian salmon producer Grieg Seafood, outgoing CEO Morten Vike -- who announced his resignation Friday -- is reassuring shareholders that the outlook for the company is better.

Speaking to IntraFish, he said he won't sell any of his shares in the company, despite his decision to step down.

“The decision to step down is one you consider over time. I don’t think you should conclude this has anything to do with the third quarter’s poor result," he said.
