Negotiations are under way with the mid-sized Chilean company GMT, and a deal could be reached in 60 to 90 days, Hans Kossmann, owner of PSF, told IntraFish.

“We’ve been looking for partners for a company capital increase since the middle of last year, but due to the continuous deterioration of the industry in Chile, we only received some offers for the assets of PSF," he said.

"Our Japanese partners of Maruha Nichiro didn’t want to join us in a capital increase, and we have been forced to sell the assets to avoid bankruptcy and offer creditors a reasonable debt repayment plan.”
