Oceanfresh CEO and founder Gavin van der Burgh has stepped down from his role, after the company launched a legal investigation against him, a spokesperson at the South African firm told IntraFish.
"Mr. van der Burgh voluntarily stepped down from his position as CEO. There is a pending investigation on various misrepresentations etc. which were done while he was at the helm of the company," Hannes Bornman, financial manager at Oceanfresh, said.
Borman declined to go into further details, as the investigation is still ongoing.
