The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Center's Ocean Wise conservation program released a list of top 10 Canadian sustainable seafood for 2015:

  • Albacore tuna
  • Dungeness crab
  • Pacific halibut
  • Pacific sardine
  • Salmon (chinook, chum, coho, pink, sockeye)
  • Shellfish (clams, mussels, oysters, scallops)
  • Shrimp (spot prawns, sidestripe, humpback, pink)
  • Walleye
  • White sturgeon
  • Yellow perch
  • Spot prawns

Ocean Wise partnered with Clark, Johansen and other Chefs’ Table Society members to promote the short spot prawn season, which kicks off with a Spot Prawn Festival each spring.
