The main shareholders behind Fisheries Holding Karat (FHK), an association of Russian fishing groups which supply Ocean Trawlers, have acquired the Marine Stewardship Council-certified Murmansk Trawler Fleet.
The new investors will own 87 percent of Murmansk Trawler Fleet -- which has 3,167 shareholders -- following the transaction.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
As part of the deal Valery Tsukanov has been named CEO of Murmansk Trawler Fleet, replacing Nikolai Karlin.
Tsukanov has been CEO of several of FHK's member fishing companies in Murmansk, including Karat, Karat-1 and Fishing Company Sogra.
