Magnus Roth, co-founder and majority shareholder since 1997 of the whitefish processing and marketing firm along with partner Vitaly Orlov, told IntraFish the company sold the 25 percent stake in the first half of 2007, but declined to reveal the identify of the company.
The deal reduced Roth and Orlov's stakes to 37.5 percent each. Those shares could be further reduced if ongoing talks with another unnamed party -- talks for 50 percent control of the company -- bear fruit.
The share sales come after months of discussions of a potential initital public offering (IPO) but don't necessarily mean the company will not eventually go the public route, Roth and CEO Thomas Zachrisson told IntraFish.
