Patrick Martin, CEO of Ocean Harvest Technology, discussed the science behind Ocean Feed, which utilizes “key elements of bio-active ingredients, including a patented formulation of 10 specific species of macro-algae to replace chemicals and synthetics” to combat health problems with fish at the IntraFish Seafood Investors Forum in London last week.
Oceanfeed Salmon is described as a “sustainable and organic” alternative to other feed options on the market.
Martin told delegates Oceanfeed salmon tested in trials and commercial farms, led to significant reductions in levels of sea lice, as much as 60 percent.
