The morning after victory for Donald Trump in the US presidential election, Norwegian seafood industry insiders said there will be no immediate impacts on trade, as Trump cannot govern on his own.
Trond Davidsen, deputy director of the Norwegian Seafood Federation (Sjømat Norge), has more than 20 years experience as a key participant in many of the trade political conflicts affecting Norway, including salmon trade negotiations with the European Union, the United States and Russia.
In addition, Davidsen dealt with the US ban on Norwegian salmon imports resulting from punitive duties for dumping.
