Norwegian salmon and trout farming company Engesund Fiskeoppdrett's turnover amounted to NOK 48.7 million (€5.2 million/$5.8 million) in 2014, as opposed to NOK 60.9 million (€6.5 million/$7.2 million) the year prior.

The company's operating profit came to NOK 7.3 million (€782,348/$863,867), down from NOK 12.9 million (€1.4 million/$1.5 million).

Engesund has one marine production license, and a license for public educational viewing, and was awarded a green license in Group C in September 2015.

The company has had R&D costs in developing methods to combat salmon lice, and with planning of trials for seaweed and kelp cultivation in connection with fish farming in collaboration with several other participants, according to its annual report.
