Norwegian salmon prices continue to inch downward and are expected to fall further in the coming week.
This week, many exporters lost a lot of money, IntraFish was told, and the downward spiral is set to continue into next week.
Only the biggest sizes will see prices above the NOK 30 (€3.80/$5.10) mark, as confirmed by several farmers and exporters.
"It is difficult to get the fish out there," one exporter told IntraFish. "This has been a hard week."
Next week, the lowest prices will be paid in northern Norway, while farmers in the south will see slightly higher prices.
