Norwegian salmon prices slip as buyers push back

Farmers and exporters IntraFish talked to Friday confirm what waspreviously predicted: Atlantic salmon prices will start to dropin the coming week.

The reasons? Buyers have had enough of the high prices, andslaughter volumes are coming back to normal levels.

"The main reason for the upcoming decline is that it isdifficult for customers when commodity prices are so high," oneexporter told IntraFish. "But prices are still very good forfish farmers."

Prices show a decrease of NOK 3 (€0.4/$0.51) to NOK 4(€0.53/$0.69) per kilogram for the upcoming week compared to thespot prices of  May 16.
