For the second week in a row there is a noticeable decline in Norwegian farmed salmon prices, reports producers and exporters.
Intrafish spoke with five Norwegian suppliers, who say increased harvests in the upcoming week and lower demand is likely to put pressure on prices, as buyers wait to make purchases.
Prices are expected to land between NOK33 ($5.72/€4.37) and NOK34 ($5.90/€4.51) for 3-4 kg, and between NOK34-35 ($6.07/€4.64) for 4-6 kg to farmers. The average price is expected to be around NOK35 delivered Oslo for 3-6 kg.
