Norwegian salmon prices level off in run up to Brussels

Norwegian salmon prices are leveling off or even slightly decreasing in the run up to the Brussels seafood show next week, with the most pressure on the larger sizes, industry players told IntraFish.

In the current week, salmon was sold for an estimated NOK 58 (€6.30/$7.10) to NOK 59 (€6.40/$7.20) per kilo, delivered Oslo.

Last week (week 15) the Fish Pool Index stayed at NOK 57.44 (€6.20/$7) as the average for industry sizes 3-6 kilograms, which is NOK 10 (€1.10/$1.20) down from week 12.
