Everything indicates the price of salmon for next week will surpass NOK 40 (€4.70/$5.90) per kilo, especially in southern Norway, according to a number of players in the market.
“I was buying today at NOK 39 (€4.60/$5.70) to NOK 39.50 (€4.70/$5.80) per kilo,” one exporter told IntraFIsh. “But prices are going up, and it has been difficult to make money on all products at these levels. I am meeting strong resistance out in the market,” he said.
