Industry players are hesitant and awaiting a drop in prices of Norwegian Atlantic salmon, as market volumes are expected to increase.

All players contacted by IntraFish on Friday said the market is quiet, with few trades being made.

However, prices are down by at least a couple of kroner compared with the level last Friday.

“In monetary terms, it is decline. It stands to be a lot of fish again, and many have to harvest because of lice,” said one exporter..

Other Norwegian players said the market is tentative at the moment, but at the moment  it looks like a decrease of around NOK 2 (€0.22/$0.24)
