Fish farmers in Hordaland County were getting around NOK 21 (€2.73/$3.88) a kilo the end of last week.
In central and northern Norway, the price was NOK 0.50 (€0.06/$0.09) lower, meaning prices were down from the previous Friday afternoon by around NOK 1.50 (€0.19/$0.27).
Prices being paid to producers are now lower than the MIP set by the EU.
”There was a slight rise during the day on Friday,” a trader in western Norway told IntraFish. “Last Friday, the producers earned on average NOK 22.50
