Volume imported is rising every week; last week, the volume for fresh salmon was twice as high as for the same week last year at 1,042 metric tons compared to 525 metric tons.

So far this year, 14,960 metric tons of fresh salmon were exported from Norway to the United Kingdom, compared to 8,932 metric tons last year. Should the trend continue, exports will be double last year’s total.

General public interest in health and food in the United Kingdom is the driving force behind this growth.
