Figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council show that Norway exported 11,636 metric tons of salmon in week 20 (May 16- May 23).

That is a 3,000 metric-ton drop from week 19.

Most of the drop was in exports of fresh salmon, which fell by more than 2,000 metric tons from 12,956 metric tons to 10,329 metric tons.

The drop came as prices have been going down in recent weeks. From week 19 to week 20, the average price per kilo fell from NOK 40 (€5.08/$7.15)
