Volumes of Norwegian salmon exports improved last week compared with the previous week, following two weeks of declining prices. Converted to round weight, exports of salmon from Norway in week 7 totaled 19,534 metric tons.
This is 700 metric tons more than for the same week last year, and 800 metric tons up from week 6 in 2013. So far this year 131,868 metric tons of salmon (round weight) have been exported, as opposed to 127,562 metric tons for the first seven weeks of 2012.
