Intrafish talked to four Norwegian salmon exporters Tuesday afternoon who said they are all confident salmon prices will improve next week, but also stressed due to minimal trading so far there could be a turnaround this week.
“Prices appear to be maintaining buoyancy very well, and could perhaps rise NOK 1 (€0.13/$0.17) -- particularly for salmon over 5 kilogram,” said one exporter.
The upswing is due to fewer harvesting days in Norway this week and next week due to the Easter holiday, including Easter Monday in Norway.
