The main theme of the minister’s official trip to Japan and China is food safety and traceability.

Japanese TV teams jostled for the best places when the minister, kitted out in Japanese chef’s garb including head scarf, took his place in the open kitchen of a truly large sushi restaurant.

The restaurant was packed with guests and Ludvigsen gave his all in the hectic environment of the kitchen while TV crews filmed, newspaper photographers snapped shots and journalists made notes.

On this trip, market activities are only a part of Ludvigsen’s program.
