The new Havbryn, delivered to Norwegian company Strand Rederi before Easter, is the latest addition to the Norwegian fleet.
Along with sister ship Havstrand, due to be delivered shortly, the pair represent a shift away from filleting at sea for the Alesund company.
The two 69.9-meter long overall by 15.4 meter beam trawlers are built to Skipsteknisk’s design and are built to freeze H&G groundfish, with the larger grades sold in Norway mainly for producing salted and dried fish, while smaller sizes are mostly exported for further processing.
