Salmon feed sales are up 11 percent compared with figures for the same period last year, according to new figures from the Norwegian Seafood Federation's (FHL) Akvafakta (Aqua Facts).
The stats show that by week 48 a total of 1,528,434 metric tons of Norway-produced fish feed was sold, and in week 48 alone 34,785 metric tons of feed were sold, compared to to 28,852 metric tons in the corresponding week last year.
Sales of trout feed totaled 87,867 metric tons, 14 percent higher than for the same period last year.
