The most recent figures from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) showed a considerable slow-down in trout exports in the first seven weeks of the year.

Total exports amounted to 2,012 metric tons, compared to 4,243 metric tons in the same period of last year.

Average prices are also down, from NOK 49.67 (€5.80/$6.50) per kilogram last year to NOK 44.24 (€5.10/$5.80) per kilogram this year.

In week seven, export volumes totaled 328 metric tons at NOK 42.50 (€4.90/$5.60) per kilogram. In the corresponding week last year, 711 metric tons were exported at an average price of NOK 49.87
