Prices for Norwegian salmon remain around the same levels as reported Friday last week, despite some uncertainty remaining in the market.

Fish farmers in Norway are still getting paid well above NOK 40 (€5.30/$6.90) per kilogram of salmon.

The availability of small fish is the main reason for the stable prices, IntraFish was told.

It also seems that export markets are showing some resistance to pay the high prices, however, as long as volumes are not picking up, prices will remain high.

The prices IntraFish has been informed of on Friday are averaging as follows

2-3 kg -- NOK 37 (€4.90/$6.40)
