In the space of five weeks the factory trawler Granit pulverized the Norwegian record on catch value for a single trawler, Inge Halstensen, owner of the commercial fisheries company Halstensen Granit AS, told IntraFish Media publication Fiskeribladet Fiskaren.
Halstensen was following how much Granit had fished during the past five weeks, and the result amounted to huge catch values.
“We sat and calculated and came to the conclusion we’d never before had such a fantastic trip," Halstensen said. "It’s not inconceivable that this could be a Norwegian record; I’m not entirely certain that anyone else has fished more."
