Norwegian fresh Atlantic salmon imports into the United States skyrocketed in January and February this year compared to the same two months last year, continuing its trend of expansion into the market.
Total US Atlantic salmon imports came to 43,276 metric tons, valued at $379.5 million (€349.7 million), a 10 percent rise in volume but 6 percent drop in price, year-on-year, for that time period.
